The Palace released a new statement on Kate’s health progress

Kensington Palace has released a new health update regarding Kate Middleton and her cancer treatment. The Princess of Wales revealed in March 2024 that she was undergoing cancer treatment following abdominal surgery.

A statement released tonight (June 14), which was a “personal message” from Kate, 42, said she was “making good progress” and was encouraged by the support she received from members of the public. She said she will also be taking part in Trooping the Color to celebrate the King’s official birthday this weekend.

A Palace source said she is “doing well” and is “looking forward to being with her family” during the King’s birthday parade on Saturday, where she is expected to appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony. Kate, who is the honorary colonel of the Irish Guards, wrote to them earlier to apologize for missing her and to wish them luck.

But Kate admitted she struggles some days and is “not out of the woods yet”. Details of the cancer have not been released, but Kensington Palace said earlier this year that it was confident the princess would make a full recovery.

In her statement, Kate said: “I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the past two months. It really made a difference to me and William and helped us both through some of it. harder times.

“I’m making good progress, but as anyone who goes through chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and have to give in to your body resting. But on good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling good.

“My treatment is ongoing and will take a few more months. On days when I feel well enough, it’s a joy to engage in school life, spend personal time with things that give me energy and positivity, and start doing a little work from home.

“I’m looking forward to attending the King’s birthday parade this weekend with my family and hopefully joining some public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I’m not out of the woods yet. I’m learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty.
