The school visit was part of the School Involvement Program in which judges from all over the country are involved. This community outreach activity aims to make students aware that a legal career is accessible to all, regardless of background.

The school students also engaged in a lively question and answer session with the judges about their roles and responsibilities.

Speaking at the school, the Lady Chief Justice said

“The rule of law is a fundamental constitutional principle that underlies an open and fair society. Every day, many thousands of judges make decisions that affect people’s lives and livelihoods. But most people have no idea what happens if they don’t find themselves in the system. “There are judges from all walks of life and at many different levels in the courts and tribunals. I want to send a message to all students, from all backgrounds, that they could be the lawyers and judges of the future.”
