Full list of King’s Birthday honors as local heroes recognized in the West Midlands

Unsung heroes from the West Midlands have been recognized in the prestigious King’s Birthday Honors list. Some of the greats of the region were honored for their actions.

Those who have been appointed OBEs include the headmaster of Harborne Hill School in recent times Andrew Richard Wright and Beate Wagner, recently Director of Children’s Services – both recognized for their service to education.




Others have been appointed Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE), including DWP Partnerships manager Natalie Cartmell for services to the homeless in Birmingham and the football coach. Christopher George Robin Powell bor services to the Football Association.

Several others including Anthony Patrick Kelly, who has raised awareness of diabetes in the UK and abroad, and Birmingham Children’s Trust social worker Janet Anne Parks, were recognized as Medalists of the Order of the British Empire (BEM).
