Taylor Swift performs This Is What You Came For by Calvin Harris in Liverpool

Taylor Swift likes to surprise her fans and tonight at Anfield for her second Eras Tour gig in Liverpool – it was no different.

Each night of the Eras tour, which began in March 2023, Taylor performs a surprise song (or two). There’s always a lot of anticipation for this section of the concert, as the American pop star will often play songs she’s never played live before, or cleverly combine two songs to create a new one.

Tonight, Friday June 14, which marks the 101st show of the Eras tour, Taylor treated fans to an acoustic mash-up of This Is What You Came For and Gold Rush and a piano cover of The Great War / You’re Losing Me.

Last night, at her 100th show, the Reputation singer managed to cram in four songs, a mash-up of I Can See You and Mine, and Cornelia Street and Maroon. Her choice of I Can See You, from Speak Now, came as no surprise to many Scousers as the video was filmed in Liverpool.

Speaking about singing I Can See You, Taylor told the crowd: “The last time I was in Liverpool I was shooting a music video.”

Actors Joey King and Taylor’s ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner, along with writer and musician Presley Cash, who worked together in the video to free Taylor Swift from a safe, were in the I Can See You Music video – shot at Liverpool.
