‘We’ll see’ – Spain star Dani Olmo has left the door open to a move to Liverpool

Dani Olmo enjoyed 30 minutes from the bench as Spain beat Croatia 3-0 in their Euro 2024 opener as Liverpool transfer officials looked on.

Or at least, that’s what the reports suggest. They claim the Reds are interested in the RB Leipzig playmaker, who can play on both wings and even as a number ten.

Liverpool have been tipped to look for a new winger this summer, considering Mohamed Salah is in the final year of his contract and may not sign a renewal. If Olmo’s pursuit is launched, Liverpool could have competition for him.

Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester United have all been linked but Liverpool are thought to have a march on them all. He is being touted as a £50m-plus acquisition, which could give Liverpool something to think about.

Speaking earlier this month, the 26-year-old discussed his future amid transfer talks, saying he would “see” what happens after the Euros. Olmo told Mundo Deportivo: “I’m calm and focused on what’s next, which is the Euro Cup, which is no small thing.

“Obviously it’s good to see your name linked to big teams in Europe and the world, that motivates me, but I’m focused on the Euros and hopefully we can come back with the trophy. Then we will see.
