Warning of sudden train cancellations between Bristol Temple Meads and London Paddington

A shortage of train crews could lead to disruption of the West Country rail network on Sunday 16 June. Passengers have been urged to check their journeys before leaving home by GWR.

The train operator warns of cancellations and changes at short notice as fewer people will be available to work. Long distance services between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads could be particularly affected.

Journey planners and other industry systems will not be correct until the early hours of Sunday morning as GWR works to secure as many trains as possible. Customers are advised that they will need to check their journey on Sunday morning.

If your train is cancelled, you can use your existing ticket for the next available service. Rail Interchange buses will run on the Kemble line between Swindon and Gloucester.

GWR expects to run a full level of services on Monday 17 June.
