Enfield man wanted for having illegal gun, sheriff says

MEDOC, NC (WNCN) – An Enfield man received additional charges following a narcotics investigation on May 28th.

On May 28 at 2:45 p.m., Halifax County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop for a window tint violation. Deputies could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle.

The sheriff’s office said they found marijuana, drug paraphernalia and several firearms.

Naquavun Richardson, 19, of Enfield, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and window tint violation.

On Friday, the sheriff’s office said after further investigation, it was discovered that one of the firearms had been illegally modified to become an automatic weapon, which is a Class F felony.

Detective A. Holland issued an additional warrant for the weapons violation. The sheriff’s office said Richardson is wanted on the charge.
