Frankie Bridge’s £50 River Island Jacket, perfect for anyone heading to a festival

Frankie Bridge has channeled her inner ‘Kate Moss at Glasto’ in a stylish yet practical raincoat perfect for festival season. The Loose Women star has tipped a River Island rain jacket as one of her summer essentials, which will no doubt come in handy with the current unpredictable weather.

Coming in three trendy colours, River Island’s Khaki Hooded Rain Jacket costs £50 and will help keep music lovers dry at outdoor events without ruining their outfit. The 35-year-old styled the waterproof jacket on Instagram as part of her weekly ‘Faves’ roundup, with the outfit ‘ticking all the boxes’.

The mum-of-two branded it ‘the classic UK festival look’, telling her 1.6 million followers: ‘We know we have to prepare for all weather and this outfit is perfect for all conditions. The trick is smart layering. Shorts and a bandeau top for warm weather, raincoat draped over the top with sandals and a hat for rain or sun.”

The jacket comes in four sizes, from XS to L, available in khaki, as well as classic shades of black and brown that will never go out of style, The Mirror reports. With a hood to protect from the rain, it has long sleeves and a longline design with a flap closure and side pockets to keep your hands dry.

Frankie styled the jacket with a pair of Hunter sandals, black denim shorts and a black tube top, a stylish hat and a brown bag. She added: “The tote bag is the perfect finishing touch for all your essentials.”

Frankie’s raincoat is in a truly timeless style, meaning you can invest in one now and wear it to many festivals to come. Marks and Spencer also has a similar jacket for £59, which shoppers said “keeps you dry in the worst showers”.

The retailer’s rubber raincoat comes in shades of sage and pink and boasts a 4.7-star customer rating. One said: “Brilliant coat. Waterproof, comfortable, nice color, good length. Good sized hood. Very pleased with him.”

Another added: “Awesome quality, great style and fit and perfect color for wet spring/summer days and keeps you dry in the nastiest of showers!” But one said the hood was too oversized, adding: “Good quality and nice colour. It didn’t hold up as much of a hood, but great coat nonetheless.”

Elsewhere, New Look’s take on the Khaki Raincoat costs £39.99 and has an overall rating of 4.5 stars, while ASOS’s Khaki Rubber Raincoat costs £38. Or if you want to steal Frankie’s exact festival look, you can buy her River Island jacket here for £50.
