Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham are closing in on Takefusa Kubo

Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham have shown massive interest in Takefusa Kubo, with Real Sociedad ready to sell for €60m.

Conformable Mundo Deportivo via Sport Witness, a host of Premier League sides are keen to sign Takefusa Kubo in the summer window. Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City have made moves for the Japanese winger, with Real Sociedad ready to part with €60 million.

Premier League interest in Takefusa Kubo

Takefuso Kubo has had a strange season at Real Sociedad as his early season form attracted massive interest from top suitors. However, his form dipped in the second half and that helped to dampen talk of a move away from Real Sociedad.

However, things may have changed in the background in this regard as the report suggests there is a frenzy of interest from the Premier League. Liverpool have had interest before as they are still assessing him as a winger, although they have other options such as Johan Bakayoko on the list should they choose to bring in a new right-back.

Manchester United previously considered the Real Sociedad winger a serious option for their squad, although things will now depend on whether they can offload Jadon Sancho, who they want £40m for in the current market, although only Borussia Dortmund are the only suitors . so far they just want a loan as they can’t afford a permanent transfer at this stage.

Tottenham may have the most concrete interest at this stage in their pursuit of Kubo as they are reportedly prepared to pay good money to sign the La Liga winger. Ange Postecoglou wants a new presence on the right side of the pitch as he wanted more from the performances of Dejan Kulusevski or Brennan Johnson on that wing and could consider a move for Kubo.

Real Sociedad wants 60 million euros

Kubo has a €60m release clause on his deal and financially Real Sociedad won’t accept a penny less than that price. Real Madrid have a clause as part of the Japanese winger’s sale agreement that entitles them to €27m of the €60m should the attacker leave the club.

Therefore, if Real Sociedad sell him for the full clause value of €60 million, they will only receive €33 million. Therefore, they may not sell it for less. Whether Premier League teams, especially Tottenham, are prepared to pay that much remains to be seen, but it is not impossible for these English clubs.
