Schoolboy can’t stop crying after mum’s question outside Anfield

A schoolboy couldn’t stop crying after his mum’s special surprise outside Anfield.

Anfield’s Harry King queued to buy Taylor Swift merchandise on Saturday, June 15, ahead of the singer’s third and final concert at Anfield. Harry was ‘tricked’ into buying a t-shirt from the merchandise stand, but he had no idea he was actually going to Taylor herself.

The 12-year-old was posing for a picture outside Anfield Stadium when his mum Tanya started recording him. In the video, Tanya can be heard saying “good luck if you’re going to see Taylor Swift tonight?” to which Harry replies, “What?”

Tanya says “Actually, we’re going in to see her” as a shocked Harry breaks down in tears. Harry’s grandfather Derek Waring, 53, from Birkenhead, said the video brought him to tears.

Derek told the ECHO: “He was taken there, he didn’t know he was going to the concert. She goes to drama school and likes to sing and dance.

He is Taylor Swift crazy. He is an extrovert. It wasn’t until he was right outside the stadium and he bought a T-shirt – he was wearing make-up he just got a T-shirt – that she said, “We’re going in here tonight.”
