Gore spent time with the Under-19s in the UEFA Youth League, Under-21s and in September 2023 came off the bench to make his senior debut in the Carabao Cup against Crystal Palace.

He then followed it up with his first Premier League appearance as a substitute in United’s 3–2 win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford in December 2023. He was then loaned out to Port Vale but only managed one league game in a period affected by injuries.

Kobbie Mainoo – central midfielder

Mainoo was one of the most important stars in the cup winning team. The young midfielder has racked up a host of Champions League appearances, 24 Premier League appearances, a goal in the FA Cup final as he helped United lift the trophy and even a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024.

Sam Mather – From the right

Mather scored twice at Old Trafford in the under-18 FA Youth Cup final against Scunthorpe United and Everton. An England youth international at U18 level, Mather made his United Under-21 debut in August 2021 in the EFL Trophy and spent part of the 2023/24 season on loan at Rochdale, making 10 appearances and scoring two goals.

Isak Hansen Aaroen – Attacking midfielder

Despite being a firm fan favourite, Isak Hansen Aaroen, who signed a professional contract with United in August 2021, made a permanent move to Germany and joined Werder Bremen in February this year. McNeill scored 24 goals in 21 games in his first season with United’s Under-18s and even made his debut for United’s first team as a substitute in the UEFA Europa League match against Real Sociedad in September 2022. However , after loan spells at Newport and Stevenage over the past two seasons, McNeill has now left United to pursue opportunities elsewhere, having been released.

Substitutions:

Joe Hugill – Hugill continued his development and played for Erik ten Hag in pre-season last year. The forward went on to feature for United’s Under-21 side with seven goals in nine games before being loaned out to Burton Albion.

Sonny Aljofree – The 19-year-old has been an important figure in the youth ranks since the final.

Ethan Ennis – The highly-rated youngster has spent most of this season injured but is now back and eyeing a breakout season at United. He scored several Goal of the Month contenders and was included in The Guardian’s list of the best Premier League talents.

Omari Forson – The young Englishman was highly regarded by United and even made four first-team appearances. However, after his contract with United expired, Forson joined Serie A side Monza on a free transfer in June 2024.

Maxi Oyedele – The 19-year-old midfielder joined Manchester United’s Academy aged eight from Burnley, impressing through the youth ranks. In January 2024, Oyedele joined League Two club Forest Green Rovers on loan until the end of the season and played four times.

Tom Wooster – The goalkeeper joined from Barnsley in 2021 and was named Academy Player of the Season in his final season at his former club and spent the 2021/22 campaign playing semi-regularly for United’s Under-18s.
