Bradford Cat Rescue is delighted with the donation from the Aladdin’s Cave store.

BRADFORD Cat Watch Rescue and Sanctuary has received a vital funding boost.

The rescue center received a £1,800 donation from Support The Animal Rescues Shop (STARS), based in the old mill on Victoria Road, Eccleshill.

One of STARS’ missions is to regularly donate the net profit it makes to animal rescue centers.

Katie Lloyd, from Bradford Cat Watch Rescue and Sanctuary, said: “We are so grateful to have received this fantastic donation.

“It will allow us to help more cats and kittens in the Bradford area.

“There are so many rescues struggling with the growing number of animals in need in this area and it’s fantastic that Julia Sharp and her volunteers at STARS are raising money and donating to different rescues.”

She added: “The store has three floors and is an amazing Aladdin’s cave of quality items at low prices, all of which are donated.

“STARS prides itself on reusing, recycling and reducing items that end up in the landfill and helping people get quality items at low prices, with net profits going to rescues that help our local animals.”
