Man injured by glass bottle in St Judes police incident

Emergency services were called to a street in Bristol last night (Saturday, June 15). Just before 9.50pm emergency services received a report of a man with arm injuries on Wade Street in St Judes.

The man, who is in his 20s, is believed to have been injured at a property on Wade Street by a glass bottle. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.



A 40-year-old woman was arrested from a property on Wade Street on suspicion of causing GBH with intent. She remains in police custody.

Avon and Somerset Police say it is an isolated incident involving people known to each other. Research is ongoing.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: “Yesterday (Saturday, June 15), emergency services received a report of a man in Wade Street, Bristol, with injuries to his arm. The man, aged in his 20s, is believed to have been injured at a property on Wade Street by a glass bottle before leaving the address.

“The man was taken to hospital by the ambulance service, where he continues to receive treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

“A woman in her 40s was later arrested at a property on Wade Street on suspicion of causing GBH with intent and remains in police custody. We believe this is an isolated incident involving people known to each other and that there is no threat to the wider community.Inquiries into the incident remain ongoing.”
