The man suffered serious head injuries in the terrifying attack in Penzance

Police are appealing for witnesses to an attack in Penzance which left a man in hospital with serious head injuries.

The attack happened in the early hours of this morning (Sunday) in Market Place, Penzance, with police called to the scene by the ambulance service at 3.40am.

The victim is a 20-year-old local man. A police cordon remains at the scene as officers investigate.

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information that could assist with their inquiries to get in touch, either via the police website or by calling 101 and quoting reference number 50240147072.
