George, Louis and Charlotte with touching Father’s Day message to Prince William

A new photograph of the Prince of Wales and his three children, taken by the Princess of Wales, has been released as a Father’s Day tribute. The three young men declared: “We love you, father. Happy Father’s Day” in a personally signed social media post.

Kensington Palace said the photo of Kate with William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis was taken on the Norfolk coast last month. The post was the first time a message from the three children had been posted on the family’s social media accounts.

It comes after William shared a photo of himself playing football with the King to mark Father’s Day. The photograph of William and Charles together in the gardens of Kensington Palace was taken on 12 June 1984.

William posted this moving photo of him with his dad

“Happy Father’s Day Dad,” said the social media post, personally signed by William. The photo taken by the PA news agency shows a nearly two-year-old William in short overalls and a striped blue top, and the King in a gray double-breasted suit kicking a soccer ball.

Later that year, William would gain a younger sibling, the Duke of Sussex being born in September. It comes after Charles’ official birthday celebrations on Saturday, where the Princess of Wales made her first public appearance this year.

Kate looked relaxed on her first day in the spotlight since her cancer diagnosis for the traditional Trooping the Color ceremony. With the king also suffering from cancer, it was a rare joint public outing for the whole family after a period of uncertainty.
