Valencia have made a £25million bid for Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood, according to reports.

Following a successful season-long loan at La Liga outfit Getafe, the forward has attracted interest from across Europe.

New Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, shortly after acquiring a stake in the club, has indicated that a final decision on Greenwood’s long-term future will be made at the end of the season.

Although no official announcement has come, it is believed that the player’s future will be away from Manchester. Now, it seems a return to Spain could be on the cards.

A source close to Mason Greenwood’s camp confirmed Valencia’s “concrete offer”, adding that the striker’s “priority is also Spain”. The mirror reports.

However, their £25million bid is a far cry from the valuation the Red Devils have set for their youth academy graduate, as it is rumored to be around double that.

Meanwhile, other La Liga clubs such as Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have shown interest in the player.

Getafe are also said to be keen to retain the services of the 22-year-old, although that option seems much less likely given the extent of the clubs in the running.

The player’s most likely destination, at present, appears to be Italy. While Lazio and Napoli have shown interest, Juventus are leading the charge in this transfer chase.
