Music fans have been invited to ‘stumble’ into the new Dockside concert series

A free music initiative for the public is taking place in Barrie this summer.

After two successful seasons in Toronto, the Dockside Music Series by Art and Water is expanding to Barrie, Hamilton and Ottawa.

You can visit Dockside on several Fridays and Saturdays from June 1st to September 1st from 7pm to 9pm at 9 Simcoe St. in Barrie.

The series aims to create unforgettable free musical performances set against the picturesque backdrop of Barrie’s beautiful lakefront, Dockside Producer Kylie Thompson said.

With the support of the Waterfront BIA and the Province of Ontario, Dockside showcases several multicultural artists from across the province while fostering a deep appreciation for art and nature, according to Thompson.

Located in high traffic areas, the organizers invite people to “step into the artistic and cultural scene”.

Dockside celebrates the communities’ rich cultural tapestry and the serene beauty of their natural surroundings, Thompson added.
