A third man has been arrested in connection with the death of Hamza Mohammed in Sheffield.

South Yorkshire Police were called to Staniforth Road in Darnall, Sheffield at 4.36pm on Saturday 8 June to reports of a serious assault. There, they found 23-year-old Hamza with a serious head wound and he was rushed to hospital.




He sadly died in hospital on Monday 10 June and his family are now being supported by the police.

A 37-year-old man was arrested today on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released pending further enquiries. This follows that a 23-year-old man was arrested on Monday, June 10, on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident.

He was also released on police bail.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on Thursday 13 June on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released on bail. A murder investigation is ongoing.
