Get ready for Beeston Festival 2024

Beeston Festival returns to Cross Flatts Park on Saturday (June 22, 2024), with organizers promising a park full of great treats.

The event, now at 30th year, will feature the usual mix of live music and dance on three stages, children’s activities, sports, live animals, a fun fair and over a hundred bazaar stalls, including food from around the world.

This year, the festival will celebrate Refugee Week with a stage dedicated entirely to artists from the refugee and migrant communities and hosted by Love Music, Hate Racism.

On the main stage, British Asian rapper Maz Bonafide, whose Desi Birthday Anthem hit 60 million views on YouTube, is sure to be a crowd pleaser. He tracks some favorite tunes performed by the South Leeds Community Band and Rock Choir. There will also be a hip hop takeover showcasing graffiti, break dancing and turntabling skills.

The entertainment on stage will be complemented by performers from Yorkshire Circus who will be bringing some amazing acrobatics, amazing footwork and all manner of circus magic as they mingle with the crowds.

The President of the Festival, Angela Gabriel BEM, said:

“We know the festival is a highlight for many in our community, so we’ve once again worked hard to put on the best show possible. There is something for everyone, so come along to Cross Flatts Park on Saturday and enjoy yourself.”
