Graeme Souness in stunning Alan Hansen update as he predicts Liverpool legend ‘will make a full recovery’

Graeme Souness has revealed that Alan Hansen looks set to make a full recovery after the Scotland and Liverpool legend was rushed to hospital with a serious illness.

Souness told how he spoke to his old international and Anfield team-mate and said the fact that he gave him a run-in proved he was fighting back. Rangers and Scotland legend Souness is currently in Germany covering Euro 2024 for talkSPORT radio and told breakfast show host Jim White: “I spoke to him yesterday and he sounded fabulous so I hope that he is on the road to a full recovery. He’s definitely back because he did nothing but take the Mickey out of me!

“I spoke to his son and Janet his wife and called him on the phone, his phone number. I got on the train on Sunday and I was looking for my seat and my phone rang and I saw it was Big Al. I was thinking “Oh no, don’t answer that.” So I sat down and worked up the courage to call back and HE answered the phone. He’s been in a tough spot, but as he called yesterday, he’s back and I hope I’m right.”
