UK reformist candidate allegedly ‘attacked by far left’ at Sea Shanty Festival

Richard Tice, Chairman of Reform UK, said: “I am appalled to hear of the attack and assault on our candidate, Steve Rubidge, who is standing for the Truro and Falmouth constituency. He was assaulted and reported to the police. Her bag was taken, very ugly.

“That’s no way to have a debate and a discussion. We can disagree but we’re not fighting each other, that’s not what our democracy is about. We’re going to make sure the police prosecute.

“It’s got to stop, it’s not right – it’s completely unacceptable. But Steve, all credit to him, he quit campaigning within half an hour, did another four hours. You want change, vote reform.”
