Round Fourteen of Super League is done and dusted, and that means there’s another match review panel hearing today, with more Super League disciplinary news.

There were no bans in the aftermath of the Challenge Cup final, however, the week before, the Super League disciplinary process was devastating for Wigan Warriors, with Adam Keighran and Tyler Dupree handed three-game bans.

Wigan Warriors’ round fifteen match against London Broncos will be the pair’s final game of ban and they will be available to face Leigh Leopards the following week.

Both Wigan and Leigh continued their good form this week with Wigan beating Castleford Tigers 10-8 as they overcame any Challenge Cup hangover issues while Leigh impressed massively with a win on the road at Perpignan.

Leigh won 10-2, meaning that in their two meetings with Les Drac this season they have won a combined 40-4 without conceding a try as the Leopards aim to make a second half of the season’s play-offs .

One team that remains out of the play-offs after a devastating defeat is Huddersfield Giants, who went down 32-6 against Hull KR, with the Robins now third behind Wigan and leaders St Helens, who won by 52 -6 against London Broncos. .

The other two games of the round saw Salford Red Devils overcome a sloppy Warrington Wolves, Marc Sneyd scored 13 points in a 25-14 win, while Leeds Rhinos saw more pressure on Rohan Smith as they lost 18-10 to Hull FC.

That marked the end of an 11-game losing streak for the Black and Whites and it was a low season for Leeds, but before they have a chance to respond against Leigh, the Super League disciplinary process must play out.

After the Challenge Cup Final saw two yellow cards but no bans, it’s an indication that a sin bin doesn’t always equate to a ban and that will be positive news for three players who all saw yellow this week.

Two of those players, Adam Milner and Tom Briscoe, were both fouled for a professional foul, Milner’s ten minutes in the basket giving Hull KR two tries and changing the game.

Another game-changing yellow card was for Cain Robb, who saw yellow for a high kick, something Castleford Tigers fans strongly disagreed with. Several fans took to social media to question the decision with suggestions that Wigan had been done a favour.

The Super League disciplinary process will take place later today to see if Robb receives a ban or not. One man the match review panel will be looking at is Andre Savelio, who was sent off on his Huddersfield Giants debut against Hull KR.

Around the 70 minute mark, Savelio picked up and tackled Elliot Minchella to the ground after engaging in a scuffle with Mikey Lewis and the whole incident will be scrutinized, but it will be Huddersfield and Savelio who fear the disciplinary process the most from the Super League.
