Leicester City boss Maresca suggests Ndidi Stay

Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has hinted Wilfred Ndidi could stay at the club beyond this summer.

Ndidi’s contract with the Foxes will expire at the end of next month.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

Maresca acknowledged the midfielder’s role in the Foxes’ promotion to the Premier League.

The Italian also reiterated his desire to keep the Nigerian international at the King Power Stadium.

“I’m already thinking about the future,” Maresca told the Leicester City Mercury.

“It’s good to start thinking about how we can improve next season. Hamza could be an option there; Wout (Faes) could be an option; and Wilf (Ndidi) could also be an option to do that kind of job.”

Ndidi registered six goals and six assists in 36 appearances in all competitions for Leicester City in the 2023/24 campaign.
