HANSON CHOOSES GREAT NORTH FOR DARBY RIMMER MND | News

City legend James Hanson is tackling the AJ Bell Great North Run on 8 September 2024 to help raise funds for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.

Hanson was part of the team that took part in the March of the Day earlier this year, raising vital funds for an important cause, with all our hearts. It helped raise the total City money donated to the foundation to over £300,000.

All funds donated via Hanson’s official fundraising page here will go directly to the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.

Speaking about the fundraiser, Hanson said: “I’m finishing the Great North Race to raise funds to go to my good friend Stephen Darby’s DarbyRimmer Foundation. Having played with Darbs for more than 5 years, he was not just a teammate, but a true friend.

“It is an honor to participate in this race to help his foundation. He is and continues to be an inspiration to everyone through his personal battle with MND. Any donation, big or small, would be most appreciated.”
