Leicester City live matches release, Premier League 2024/25 schedule to be revealed

Leicester City’s return to the Premier League will feel that much closer this morning at 9am when they reveal their fixture list for the season.


Dates and opponents for all 38 rounds of the upcoming Premier League campaign will be announced ahead of the big kick-off on the weekend of August 17/18. And there will be plenty to watch.



The first game of the season, plus key dates such as Boxing Day and the final, will attract attention, but City supporters will also be keen to see when their side face neighbors Nottingham Forest and when they can expect Enzo’s return Maresca. at the King Power Stadium with his new team Chelsea.

City fortunes on opening day

Here’s a rundown of the nine opening games City played during their last spell in the Premier League:

  • 14-15 – City 2-2 Everton – City’s first top-flight game in a decade ends with a point as Chris Wood grabs a late equalizer
  • 15-16 – City 4-2 Sunderland – City begin their title-winning campaign in style as Riyad Mahrez scores twice in a dream first visit to the King Power dugout for Claudio Ranieri
  • 16-17 – Hull 2-1 City – City become the first Premier League champions to lose their opening game of defense as they fell to struggling newly-promoted Hull
  • 17-18 – Arsenal 4-3 City – Two goals conceded in the last 10 minutes sees City lose a thriller at the Emirates under Craig Shakespeare
  • 18-19 – Man Utd 2-1 City – Ricardo Pereira and James Maddison are among the players to make their debuts as City slump at Old Trafford
  • 19-20 – City 0-0 Wolves – A dull draw marred by VAR as Leander Dendoncker has a goal controversially disallowed
  • 20-21 – West Brom 0-3 City – Behind closed doors, City rip apart the Baggies, Timothy Castagne scoring on his debut before a pair of Jamie Vardy penalties
  • 21-22 – City 1-0 Wolves – Vardy heads in Ricardo’s cross to give City a winning start
  • 22-23 – City 2-2 Brentford – Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s long-range strike puts City two goals up but they surrender, Josh Dasilva equalizing for the Bees five minutes from time

The details you need to know

Here’s a quick rundown of the details on the new season’s fixtures that the Premier League has fixed ahead of kick-off.

  • The season will start on August 17 and end on May 25.
  • The campaign will consist of 33 weekend matches, four midweek matches and one bank holiday match.
  • No club will play within 60 hours of another fixture during the usual busy Christmas period and no team will play on Christmas Eve.
  • There will be no mid-season break, with medical experts advising that a longer summer break is preferable to a short winter break.

We are two months away from City’s return to the Premier League and today they will find out who they face for their first game back.

The opening weekend opponents will be the first that fans of the game will pay attention to, but there are plenty of others that will draw attention. Here’s a list of games we expect to be of interest:

  • Boxing Day – a classic of the match schedule
  • Final day – could be crucial next season as City expect to be in a relegation battle
  • Chelsea – City’s first meeting with Maresca, either at home or at Stamford Bridge, will be a big one
  • Nottingham Forest – Despite what they might claim on the road, it’s still a big game as neighbors battle it out
  • Returning players – when Villa, Spurs and Newcastle visit, it will be the first time Tielemans, Maddison and Barnes return to the King Power Stadium
