Agreement reached to sign Southampton player for €3m – Leeds United man very close

Real Betis are focusing on negotiations with English clubs this week, with the Spanish press now bringing some updates on talks with Southampton and Leeds United.

The La Liga side have been working to sign Romain Perraud and Marc Roca and there have been positive developments in both cases, according to El Chiringuito’s Gonzalo Tortosa.

It is claimed that Betis have now reached an agreement with Southampton to bring in the Frenchman for just over €3m, with both the medical and signing of the contract expected to take place soon. As for Roca, it is reported that the La Liga club are “close to reaching an agreement” with Leeds to sign him permanently. Their idea is to have him under contract until 2028.

Only if the business collapses would they resort to a loan agreement.

Some Spanish clubs have gone out of their way to secure some early summer signings, and that seems to be the case with Betis.

Both Perraud and Roca were loaned out by Southampton and Leeds last season and it seems that Betis’ strategy is to give away those players who are not expected to stay at their clubs.
