Police alleged the man assaulted someone else using a sawn-off weapon. He was found and taken into police custody on Tuesday.

Marvin Bryan, 45, was charged with assault with a weapon; unauthorized possession of a weapon; three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and two counts of possessing a firearm or ammunition contrary to a restraining order.

He was held in police custody pending a bail hearing at Cornwall Crown Court.

A 13-year-old boy faces five charges after police investigated a complaint received earlier this month.

Police alleged the teenager fired a BB gun repeatedly into a neighbor’s home and vehicle, damaging both, and also fired the gun at a person he knows. He was found and taken into police custody on Monday.

The teenager, whose identity cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with assault with a weapon; evil over $5,000; damage under $5,000; possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and breaching an undertaking to possess a firearm.

A 40-year-old Cornwall man is facing charges after police responded to a call Monday.

Police claimed the man had assaulted his wife.

The man, whose identity has not been released, was charged with domestic assault.

He was released from police custody to appear at Cornwall Crown Court on July 9.

Theft

A 45-year-old Lunenburg woman is facing charges after police investigated a call from a business on Ninth Street West.

Police said the woman removed the merchandise from the store on May 11 without paying for it. She was detained at police headquarters on Monday.

Kimberly Rowe, 45, was charged with theft under $5,000.

She was released from police custody to appear at Cornwall Crown Court on August 8.

Theft

A 64-year-old Ottawa man is facing a charge after police investigated a complaint at a business on Second Street East.

Police said the man removed the merchandise from the store on May 28 without paying for it. He was arrested at police headquarters on Monday.

Kevin Parent, 64, was charged with theft under $5,000.

He was released from police custody to appear at Cornwall Crown Court on August 8.
