Could it be a post-election victory lap?

Count Binface – who is up against Rishi Sunak in the general election – will go on a comedy tour once the campaign is over.

The political prankster announced 16 meetings in September and October, promising a state of the nation address while sharing his MEGA (Make Earth Great Again!) manifesto.

The intergalactic tally yesterday unveiled its 24-point promise to the electorate, which is in the Prime Minister’s constituency of Richmond and Northallerton, on July 4.

If elected, he promised that “all the water chiefs (will) take a dip in British rivers to see how they like it”, national service for ex-prime ministers would be introduced, pensions would be double-locked (but with a little extra). side chain) and Claudia Winkleman’s fringe will be Grade 1 listed.

He also promises to build “at least one house” affordable, cap horns at £1.10 and ban loudspeakers on public transport, with the sentence of a year’s forced housing with Matt Hancock.

Coun Binface stood as a candidate in that constituency in the 2019 general election, polling 69 votes against Boris Johnson.

He also took part in the 2021 and 2024 London mayoral elections, during which time he increased his support base to 24,260 votes in the capital.

Contender is the brainchild of comedy writer Jon Harvey, who has worked on Have I Got News For You, In The Loop and Only Connect. He was previously Lord Buckethead in Theresa May’s Maidenhead constituency at the 2017 election.

However, he was forced to change the character due to a copyright dispute with American director Todd Durham, who created Lord Buckethead for his 1984 sci-fi film Hyperspace.

He kicks off his new tour, Bindependence Day, at Cardiff’s Glee Club on September 12th, finishing at the Wardrobe Theater Bristol on October 27th. Tickets go on sale at 10am tomorrow.
