The sunny weather is back and with it many of us will be looking to get out of the house and go on an adventure or two over the next few weekends. In our region, we are blessed with lots of great places to visit and explore.

There’s no better way to end a trip than with a visit to a brilliant country pub. Some of these country pubs have been run by the same family for years and years and have become firm favorites and fixtures within the community.

We recently asked you to name your favorite pub in Leicestershire. After sifting through hundreds of votes, we’ve narrowed the selection down to just a few of the most popular.

Now, we’re looking to crown the best country pub in our entire region. To do this, we will need your help.

We want you to vote for your favorite from the five most popular selections in our poll. There could be any number of reasons why this pub is your favourite.

The person serving drinks might know your name since you were young, and there are always a few people who are always there, sitting in the same places. Some people like these quiet country pubs better than the noisy ones in the city. Or maybe it’s cheaper to have a few drinks there than to pay a taxi back from the city.
