Bristol International Balloon Fiesta to celebrate ‘local heroes’

Ben Hardy, chief executive of the BIBF, said unsung heroes could be people who give up their time to help others.

“We want to reach out to the communities in the city and the people of Bristol, who are at the heart of everything we do, and celebrate these local heroes.

“Wherever the flights take off, this celebration of local superheroes will add an exciting new dimension to the Fiesta and underlines our commitment to engaging as much as possible with Bristol’s diverse communities to ensure the iconic event rises to new heights.

“It will be a city-wide effort and we want to hear from those people and those communities who make our city so special so they can experience the magic of the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta in their own backyards.”

Fiesta returns to Ashton Court Estate between 9 and 11 August in 2024.
