M23, A23 and A27 road closures to watch for in Sussex this weekend

A small number of motorway and A Road closures will affect traffic in Sussex this weekend, according to National Highways England.

They will mainly be on the A27 in the early hours of the morning for maintenance work.

If you’re set on traveling along these areas, it’s best to keep in mind the various diversions that might be in place.

Here’s a list of all the closures from Friday 14 June to Sunday 16 June on major roads in Sussex that you need to be aware of.

Road closures on the M23, A23 and A27 for Friday 14 June

M23

On the M23 southbound, there will be a road closure between junction 9 and 10 for surface works between 8pm and 6am.

A23

On the A23 southbound, an access road to Pyecombe will be closed between 9pm and 6am for road works.

A27

On the A27 westbound, there will be closures in and out of Adur between 8pm and 6am for structure works.

In addition, there will be a road closure in both directions from the Golden Jubilee Roundabout to the Pevensey Roundabout.

This is due to drainage works and will last between 8pm and 6am.

Road closures on the M23, A23 and A27 for Saturday 15 June

M23

There will be a link road closure between Junction 8 of the M23 southbound and Junction 7 of the M25 (clockwise and anti-clockwise).

A23

There are no closures on the A23 listed for this day.

A27

On the A27 eastbound, one carriageway will be closed from the Manor Road roundabout to Adur.

This is in place for the construction of a new roundabout and will last from 9pm on Saturday until 6am on Sunday.

Meanwhile, on the westbound carriageway there will be road closures from Adur to the Manor Road roundabout between 8pm and 6am.
