CCTV operators spot ‘boy with knife’ in Nuneaton town centre

CCTV operators raised the alarm with police after seeing a boy with a knife in Nuneaton town centre. Following a foot chase, police caught up with the suspect on Newdegate Street.

A 17-year-old was arrested. Officers nearby also allegedly found a knife and a backpack with tools.

A boy was arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife and allegedly going armed. He was arrested for questioning.

A Warwickshire Police spokesman said the boy had been released on bail pending further inquiries into the incident on Monday evening, June 17.
