A new store is opening in the former Argos in Gracechurch Center in Sutton Coldfield

A new store has opened in a former Argos site in Sutton Coldfield – one of a chain in the Midlands. Home Décor has opened its latest outlet in the city’s Gracechurch Centre, replacing the short-lived Teako store, which specialized in selling hot tubs.

As the name suggests, the new store focuses on homewares – everything from ironing boards to bins, kitchenware to bedding. It also has a selection of suitcases and bags, the company that started more than 10 years ago focusing exclusively on luggage.

The owners have transformed the business from pound shops to the new home range. And one customer perusing what was on offer said “Sutton needs something like this since Wilko closed”.

Walk into the store and the old Argos jewelery section on the right has rows of suitcases, with rucksacks on a wall behind, Then there’s a selection of rugs and mats, with more on shelves in all colors and textures.

There are bins and mops and an entire back wall filled with storage containers of all shapes and sizes. Then comes an aisle of appliances, kettles, pressure cookers, blenders, juicers, dryers and the now popular air fryers.
