A man who threatened to rape a mother and daughter has been banned from part of Merseyside

A man has been banned from part of Merseyside following allegations of anti-social behaviour.

Peter Hill, of no fixed abode, was previously on a Criminal Behavior Order but this was varied at Liverpool Crown Court earlier this week following recent allegations of anti-social and criminal behavior in Prenton, Wirral.

The allegations include theft and abuse of staff and customers at local stores. The CBO stipulates that the 37-year-old cannot enter an area of ​​Prenton which is bounded and includes Woodchurch Road, Storeton Road and Holm Lane.

The order will last until June 29, 2029.

Hill, who is currently in prison, “went on the rampage” while appearing at Wirral Magistrates Court, assaulting and threatening custody officers and causing criminal damage. The ECHO previously reported that Hill appeared in court for separate offenses on November 9 before being charged with three counts of assaulting an emergency worker, criminal damage, affray and two counts of threatening to destroy or property damage.

He was also charged with two additional counts of assaulting an emergency worker following a separate incident on Friday, January 5.

Appearing at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, February 5, prosecutor Callum Ross said Hill had appeared in court on November 9 for another incident, but as he was led into the courtroom he “lost his temper” and became “abusive”.

He “shouted and kicked a metal gate” before pushing a custody officer. The court heard how he then picked up a wooden table and threw it at the custody officers, before picking up a bench from the floor, which had been bolted down, and throwing it at the two custody officers.

Mr Ross added that Hill punched one officer in the stomach and the other in the groin before spitting and punching. The court heard how he told a custody officer he would “burn his house down and rape his wife and daughter”. He then told the other custody officer that he was “going to burn your house down with your family inside.”

Judge Recorder Harrington sentenced Hill to a total of 16 months in prison for all the offences, of which he will serve half.

Neighborhood Police Inspector Nicola Hughes said: “Anti-social behavior and crime cause misery for members of our community who want to go about their daily business and for business owners who simply want to make a living.

“The neighborhood policing team will continue to seek similar orders against those who seek to cause harm to our communities. Criminal behavior orders are extremely effective and if Hill breaches the terms of this order he will be arrested, returned to court and may be jailed.
