Leeds United say Coventry City transfer would be ‘good addition’

Callum O’Hare’s future remains uncertain, apart from the fact that he is expected to leave Coventry City as a free agent when his contract expires at the end of this month.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs after five successful years with the Sky Blues following his free transfer from Aston Villa in the summer of 2020 after enjoying a season-long loan from the club in Premier League, where he rose through the youth ranks.

The player clearly has ambitions to return to the top flight and so far West Ham and newly-promoted Southampton have been linked along with relegated Burnley and Championship play-off finalists Leeds United. The latter, of course, will be among the favorites for promotion next season and could prove to be a top-flight temptation for O’Hare.

Meanwhile, Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers have also been the subject of speculation over the attacking midfielder who has been offered a new deal at the CBS Arena. But despite Mark Robins joking at the end of the season that he was still trying to convince O’Hare to stay, it looks increasingly likely that he will move on in the coming weeks.

And former England and Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson is convinced he would be a “good addition” at Elland Road.

“Leeds will be linked with a lot of free transfers because of the financial situation they are in at the moment,” he told MOT Leeds News.
