Eseh Jr joins Leeds Rhinos on loan

Wigan Warriors can confirm that Sam Eseh Jr has joined Leeds Rhinos on a four-week loan.

The striker goes straight into Leeds Rhinos’ 21-man squad to face Leigh Leopards at AMT Headingley on Friday night, a game which will pay tribute to the late Rob Burrow CBE.

Eseh Jr, who turns 21 next week, has spent time on loan at Castleford Tigers this season and will be looking to get more valuable game time with Rohan Smith’s side over the next month.

Commenting on the move, Wigan Warriors interim coach John Duffy said: “It’s another fantastic opportunity for Sam to get some invaluable minutes on the pitch.

“He will benefit from back-to-back games which will stand him in good stead for the rest of the season.”
