New Coventry City signing Luis Binks explains what brought him back to the club

Luis Binks has explained exactly what brought him back to Coventry City permanently.

The 22-year-old defender has upgraded his season-long loan to a four-year deal with the Sky Blues, joining the CBS Arena for an undisclosed fee from Italian Serie A club Bologna.

Binks expressed his desire to leave Italy several times last term and saw City as the ideal club for him to continue his development and is delighted that it has now become a reality.

“I think I said a few times last season that I wanted to come back before the new season and I’m glad to be back,” the centre-back said.

“Working with the manager and Adi can only be a good thing for me and I’m excited to see where he goes.”

In his summer chats with Mark Robins, he revealed: “I spoke to the gaffer about a month ago and we talked about how he sees me going forward at this football club and where we can go and that blew my mind clear that I wanted to come here and continue working. I always wanted to come and work with him, Adi (Viveash) and the boys. I get on well with everyone, on and off the pitch, and that’s a big part of it. If I’m happy off the pitch, then I’ll be happy on the pitch.”
