A new shopping complex is opening in Coventry, with 60 independent and vintage stalls

A new shopping business is launching in Coventry’s creative quarter. FarGo Village has announced that its latest venture – Indie Mart – will be unveiled in The Market Hall that same month.

Emporium-style shopping will involve up to 60 small independent producers, curators, vintage and vintage dealers selling from the shop space without the need to be physically present. The store will be managed by experienced and passionate retail staff.

Coventry City Council’s SME Grant Fund funds part of the costs to help the Indie Mart run. Holly Hewitt, manager at FarGo Village, which was developed by regeneration specialists Complex Development Projects, said there was already a lot of interest in their new venture.

“There is nothing else like the Indie Mart in Coventry at the moment and will give residents and those who enjoy independent shopping somewhere to come, have a coffee, lunch and get involved with all things independent and the creative activities that take place. at FarGo Village.

“We will still have seasonal markets here throughout the year, located in The Box and outdoors, but the focus for these will be more food and themed. Many producer markets are popping up in the city, so it’s not something unique to us anymore. Indie Mart will allow merchants to sell their goods in two places at once!

“Everyone who hears about our new business says what a great idea it is and we’re looking forward to launching it as part of our day celebrations in September.”

Indie Mart’s opening hours will initially mirror the current retail hours at FarGo Village of 11am to 5pm Wednesday to Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sundays, but it is hoped to develop this by upon opening seven days in the future.
