Police in Bradford have charged a driver with driving almost 50 kilometers an hour over the posted limit while drunk.

According to South Simcoe police, an officer flagged down the vehicle traveling 108 kilometers per hour along a posted 60 zone.

During the traffic stop, police say the officer observed signs of impairment and arrested the driver.

He was taken to the station and subsequent tests allegedly showed he had about twice the legal alcohol limit.

Police charged the 25-year-old from Tottenham with impaired driving, speeding and stunt driving.
