A look inside the festival which heads to the remote Merseyside forest

The first images of a festival taking place in a forest in Merseyside have been released.

Thousands of revelers are expected at the Restricted Forest Festival. Described by organizers as an “old school” dance event, some of the biggest local and global DJs and performers are performing this year, including Safri-duo, DJ Sash, Lovely-Laura and Ben Santiago, Todd Terry, N-trance, Cappella and more.




It will take place in the secluded Orrell Hill Woods, close to the villages of Ince Blundell and Hightown in Sefton, on Saturday 22nd June. The event is said to be the perfect place to dance the day and night, and make new friends. , or simply escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The festival, billed as an “experience like no other”, has a jungle and wildlife theme. There will be several unique stages in the forest, three of which have been partially built. The main stage is hosted by Restricted Events and has a rugged jungle look.

Another is based around a pyramid that features unique artwork, while the third replicates a stone castle. Statues of giraffes and tigers were also erected. Food and drink vendors will be positioned throughout the festival space.

Tickets can be purchased online, but organizers said there will be a few available for purchase on the day. There is still room to book transport to and from the event from most major cities through Big Green Coach.
