Man arrested after young woman hit by van in Harehills

A man has been arrested after a toddler was hit by a van in Leeds.

The incident happened on Lambton Terrace, Harehills, at 5.50pm yesterday (Thursday, June 20). The young woman was hit by a van driver.



The paramedics went to the scene and transported the girl to the hospital. Fortunately, her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Emergency services were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Lambton Terrace, Leeds at 5.50pm yesterday. The collision involved a van and a young child pedestrian.

“The child was taken to hospital where he was treated for injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening. A man has been arrested in connection with the incident.”
