INTERVIEW: Jack Rudoni ready to get down to business after completing Coventry City move – News

Jack Rudoni says he can’t wait to start training as a Coventry City player after putting pen to paper on a four-year deal with the Club.

Rudoni departs Huddersfield Town after two years in West Yorkshire and will join Mark Robins and his players ahead of what promises to be an exciting 2024/25 campaign.

On his transfer from Huddersfield Town to the Sky Blues:

“I’m very happy. As soon as I heard about the interest, I was happy. I spoke to the manager and his staff and I got a great atmosphere and a sense of momentum from everyone here and that’s what I’m all about .

“It’s a great fit for me and I’m so happy to be here.

“We knew there was interest for a while now, but this summer it feels like the interest has increased.

“It was clear to me as soon as I started talking to the Club that this was the place to be to take my career forward.

“I can’t wait to get started.”

Before meeting his colleagues on July 1, Rudoni continued:

“I don’t know any of the players here but I have a few mutual friends with one or two of them and I’ve heard they’re a great bunch of guys.

“I’m excited to play with all of them. I’ve watched a lot of games and seen what they’re all about. It’s a big, talented team.

“I can’t wait to work with those forwards because I want to get some assists for them.

“The manager told me a lot about the club and the fans and the people around the place.

“We all want success and that’s the main thing. The manager told me this is a great place for me to develop and he feels I can push the team forward.

“I can’t wait to get out on the field in front of the fans and have a great season.”

On the atmosphere at the Coventry Building Society Arena and his excitement to play in front of the City fans:

“The atmosphere at the Coventry Building Society Arena was one of the first things I thought of when I knew I was coming here. I’ve played there a few times over the years and the atmosphere is always great.

“I can’t wait to see the fans there.”

Counting down to July 1st:

“I had a good summer and had a little camp in Portugal to keep fit, but now I’m ready to get down to business.

“I can’t wait to get going. Even just being here at the training ground gave me that excitement to play again.

“I’m looking forward to the season and I have a good feeling about it. I can’t wait to do something special with the boys and the Club.”
