Birmingham will bake to 24C as the Met Office shares a ‘hot and humid’ warning.

The warm weather will continue this weekend in Birmingham and the West Midlands region. A series of cold temperatures are being felt across the UK.

But Brits can fire up the grills again with 24C forecast to hit the city next week. The Met Office has forecast temperatures of 22C for Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, before the hot weather peaks on Monday, June 24.

The forecast came with a “hot and humid” message from the Met Office, which also warned that the weather could turn cloudy. It said: “Mostly dry with variable cloud and bright or sunny spells on Sunday.

“Mostly fine and dry with bright or sunny spells on Monday and Tuesday. Rather warm and humid.”

Tonight, Friday June 21st, rain is expected around 11pm. A Met Office spokesman added: “It will be a mostly fine and dry day with warm sunny spells. However, it will become increasingly cloudy from the west during the afternoon, with a band of rain reaching the west by evening.

“Generally light winds, more wind later. High 22C.” Pollen counts are set to be “very high” over the next few days, which could mean misery for hay fever sufferers.
