The driver was rushed to hospital after plowing into a field in Wiltshire

A driver involved in an incident on the B3105 at Staverton was taken to hospital for a check-up after his vehicle went through a hedge 80 meters into a field.

Along the way, his Peugeot 308 knocked over a wooden sign support and narrowly missed the river bridge at Staverton.

The incident happened on the road near Staverton at around 7am this morning (Friday, June 21).

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “We responded to reports of a road traffic collision on the B3105 near Staverton at around 7am.

“A man in his 20s was taken to hospital as a precaution.

“No arrests have been made.”

The driver’s vehicle sustained extensive front-end damage and has since been impounded by police.
