Leicester City’s recruitment team are keen on Tottenham’s Alasdair Gold – The Spurs Web

Alasdair Gold has said that Leicester City are particularly keen to secure the services of Joe Rodon, with the club’s recruitment department thought to admire the centre-back.

Joe Rodon looks set to leave Tottenham

Reports linking Rodon with a return to Leeds have died down after Daniel Farke’s men failed to win promotion, with various Premier League clubs now credited with an interest in the centre-back.

Football.London reported earlier this week that all three newly-promoted clubs have explored a move for the 26-year-old, with Ipswich Town said to have a “particular interest” in the defender.

Meanwhile, Football Insider suggested on Monday that a host of top teams are showing interest in the Wales international.

The outlet confirmed that the centre-back has no future at Spurs under Ange Postecoglou and that the north London club would be willing to accept around £10m for him.

Leicester City as Joe Rodon look

Gold has now provided a more comprehensive update on Rodon’s future, stating that Leicester are particularly keen on the centre-back.

He suggested the Tottenham man could be even more likely to head to the King Power Stadium if Graham Potter takes over, given the pair have worked together at the Liberty Stadium in the past.

The journalist said on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham podcast about Rodon: “All three promoted clubs are interested in him: Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton. Leicester, as I said earlier, do not have a manager at the moment, however their recruitment team are very keen on him.

“If it was (Graham) Potter coming in, Potter has worked with him at Swansea before so I’d imagine he’d be quite happy with that as a potential signing as well.”

Spurs Web Opinion

We know Kieran McKenna is also a big fan of Rodon, which is why a move to Ipswich remains quite likely for the centre-back.

I suspect the defender will make a decision based on where he is more likely to get regular stars next season.
