Expert on how to sleep well in hot weather as the temperatures rise

Summer is here and with it the glorious sunshine. While some spend the day basking in the heat, many are left restless at night, unable to sleep due to the temperature.

And with Britain finally set to enjoy some warm temperatures over the next few days, it means more and more of us could be set to struggle to sleep. Sleep expert Katherine Hall has teamed up with Get Laid Beds to share her top tips on how to get a good night’s sleep, even in the heat.

She says: “No matter how tired you are, trying to sleep in the heat can be an exhausting challenge. That’s why it’s important to consider the following steps, so that regardless of the weather, you can have a good night’s sleep.”

1) AVOID SAI SAI OR SLEEPING DURING THE DAY

“The heat can often make us feel tired and lethargic, making it tempting to take an afternoon nap. The problem is that this disrupts your daily routine and in turn your sleep pattern. Therefore, it is important to avoid sleeping during the day or taking spontaneous naps and stick to your usual routine.”

2) KEEP THE SUN OUT

“One of the best ways to sleep well in the heat is to keep the sun out. Simple techniques like pulling the blinds throughout the day will keep warm air out and leave the room feeling nice and cool. Opening the windows a little before going to bed will also provide a gentle breeze that will help you sleep through the night.”

3) Light sheets
