GVARDIOL WANTS MAN CITY TO MOVE TO TABEI VAPOR AFTER BEAT ON FULHAM

Josko Gvardiol continued his recent hot streak in front of goal with a brace and Phil Foden made it 25 of the season as Manchester City went top of the Premier League table with a convincing 4-0 win at Fulham.

The visitors quickly settled into their task of overtaking Arsenal at the top, Gvardiol polishing off a smart move that involved Kevin de Bruyne in the 13th minute.

Fulham struggled to break out of their own half for long periods and were fortunate not to go further behind at the break, Manuel Akanji volleying a simple chance over the bar.

City were always comfortable but ensured there would be no script twist when Foden drilled a low 16-yard shot into the far corner soon after.

Guardiol then made it five goals in his last seven games when he expertly slid in Bernardo Silva’s cross 19 minutes from time.

Fulham sent off Issa Diop in stoppage time and substitute Julian Alvarez converted the resulting spot-kick to put the icing on the cake.

The result moves City two points clear of rivals Arsenal with just two games to play. Fulham remain in 13th place.
