30 campers surround city park basketball court with elementary school camp yards

Up to 30 caravans and vehicles occupy a city park just yards from a primary school. The travelers set up their temporary camp around the green’s basketball court, which is regularly used for local children to play on.

The large group was located at Parkdale Park, just off Longbridge Lane, in West Heath yesterday, Friday 21st June. The park is located right next to Albert Bradbeer Primary School.

Some residents said they were surprised to see such a large group taking to the field. A council spokesman told BirminghamLive that there are alternative sites for travelers in the city.
