Call following a serious injury collision on Field Lane, Upton

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Upton yesterday (Friday, June 21) which left a motorcyclist seriously injured.

Officers were called to Field Lane, Upton, at 11.49am to reports of a collision involving a blue Mitsubishi L200 and an orange and black KTM dirt bike. The collision happened at the junction with Pennine View.

As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or the way either vehicle was being driven or driven prior to the collision. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage of the vehicles involved.
