The crash is closing the A46, causing the Coventry ring road to back up

A crash has closed the northbound lanes of the A46 south-east of Coventry The crash happened at around 3pm between the A428 Rugby Road junction and the B4082 roundabout which links the A46 with Clifford Bridge Road.

Traffic was backed up for up to an hour as police worked to clear the crash, with vehicles backed up to the Tollbar End roundabout.




The police managed to clear the obstacle by 16.00. They have not yet released details on how many vehicles or passengers were involved.

Warwickshire Police confirmed the incident involved four vehicles and only minor injuries were sustained by the passengers. By 4:30 p.m., police were clearing the road and traffic was easing around the ring road.
